Marks Calculator – Total, Average & Percentage | MZ Smart Tools House
Calculate total obtained marks, total maximum marks, average marks and overall percentage across multiple subjects.
Enter obtained and maximum marks for each subject to calculate totals, per-subject average marks and overall percentage from real inputs.
How it works
Overall percentage = total obtained marks ÷ total maximum marks × 100. Average marks = total obtained marks ÷ number of subjects.
Example
For marks 85, 78, 92, 67 and 88 out of 100 each, total is 410, average is 82 and overall percentage is 82%.
Frequently asked questions
Can subjects have different maximum marks?
Yes. Overall percentage uses summed obtained marks divided by summed maximum marks.
Is average the same as percentage?
Not always. Average is obtained marks per subject; percentage uses the combined maximum marks.
