Scholarship Marks Percentage Calculator – Calculate Academic %
Calculate academic percentage from obtained and total marks, then check the scholarship provider's published eligibility rules. No invented cutoff or CGPA conversion.
Scholarship application forms may ask for an academic percentage, but calculating that percentage is different from checking eligibility. This page converts marks you actually earned into a percentage of maximum marks. Scholarships can also depend on verified grade conversion rules, study program, financial circumstances and deadlines.
How it works
Academic percentage = (obtained marks ÷ maximum marks) × 100. Maximum marks must be greater than zero; obtained marks cannot be negative or exceed the maximum.
Example
If you earned 420 marks out of 500, 420 ÷ 500 × 100 = 84%. That is your marks percentage, not a decision that you qualify for any specific scholarship.
How to use
- Enter the obtained marks from your official result or transcript.
- Enter the maximum marks on that same result, ensuring that both values refer to the same subjects and assessment.
- Read the calculated percentage, then compare it yourself against the scholarship provider's published conditions.
Key features
- Calculates the actual obtained-to-maximum marks percentage
- Checks that marks and maximum are sensible
- Does not invent scholarship eligibility or university CGPA conversion
Common uses
- Prepare a marks percentage for a scholarship form
- Cross-check a college transcript percentage
- Understand a percentage requirement before reading official eligibility criteria
Limitations to know
Institutions have different scholarship rules and CGPA conversion schemes. The calculator has no verified eligibility database and does not predict selection, award size or merit status. Use official policies for every scholarship decision.
Frequently asked questions
